Now let’s have faith like a child and follow Elijah in not only getting out of a rut, but soaring like an eagle.

I’ll leave a comment for us to follow after each step where we can become like Elijah!!!

Elijah was afraid

1 Kings 19 verse 1. Now Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, and how he had killed all the prophets with the sword. 2Then Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah, saying, “So may the gods do to me and even more, if I do not make your life as the life of one of them by tomorrow about this time.” 3And he was afraid and arose and ran for his life and came to Beersheba, which belongs to Judah, and left his servant there.…

Hairsonfire: Maybe when we are in danger it’s time to remove our bodies from the environment, to get away from immediate danger, or if its that serious, remove yourself anyway, to be alone with God.

Elijah was depressed and wanted to die

1Kings 19 verse 4. But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree; and he requested for himself that he might die, and said, “It is enough; now, O LORD, take my life, for I am not better than my fathers.”

Hairsonfire: Once removed from immediate danger, pray to God, but don’t worry too much, if that is possible. Let Him know how you feel. Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Philippians 4:6

Elijah goes from depression to superhero

1 Kings 19 verse 6. Then he looked and behold, there was at his head a bread cake baked on hot stones, and a jar of water. So he ate and drank and lay down again. 7The angel of the LORD came again a second time and touched him and said, “Arise, eat, because the journey is too great for you.” 8So he arose and ate and drank, and went in the strength of that food forty days and forty nights to Horeb, the mountain of God.…

Bible and bread
Hairsonfire: Now have something to eat and drink (water will do best for the drink), something healthy, I’ve included a photo of a healthy muffin that I prepared earlier, including a recipe at the end that I got on a box of Uncle Tobbies Ancient Grain. Now have something spiritual to eat that will sustain you for the trip to meet with God: Read your bible!!! His word will sustain you like the bread that was made by the angel of the Lord. Your words are what sustain me; they are food to my hungry soul. They bring joy to my sorrowing heart and delight me. Jeremiah 15:1

Elijah goes from superhero to mission

1Kings 19 verse 15. The LORD said to him, “Go back the way you came, and go to the Desert of Damascus. When you get there, anoint Hazael king over Aram.

Hairsonfire: Now keep praying fervently and reading your bible until you encounter God himself and he gives you clear instructions and a revelation for your circumstances.
