As seen from the above chart the majority of your diet should consist of carbohydrates and vegetables. These two categories fill in the most important sections of eating which are macro and micro nutrients. Macro means large quantity and micro means small quantity. Common examples of a macro nutrients are carbohydrates, proteins and fats as they are found in large quantities in food. Common examples of micro nutrients are vitamins and minerals, as they in small proportions in food. lastly, the other half of the chart is covered by lean meats, dairy products and fruit. These three categories cover fats, proteins and healthy sugar.
Once your diet’s proportions matches the chart the third step is to ensure that all the foods you choose to fill in those categories are natural and are almost non processed.

The fourth and final step is to once in a while, once a week or month, eat something you enjoy. Having a healthy life style is also about enjoying life. It is okay to have something unhealthy but only on rare occasions. It even says in Ecclesiastes 3:12-13 that “there is nothing better than to be happy and enjoy ourselves as long as we can.
