Benefits of good fats

Following on from my previous blog ‘Is fat bad for you‘ it can be seen that not all fats are bad, in fact some are beneficial for health. Unsaturated fats provide three well known benefits including: lowering a person’s levels of LDL cholesterol, reduce inflammation, and build stronger cell membranes in the body (Medicalnewtoday, 2018). Lowering levels of LDL cholesterol increases the ease of blood flow in the body, making the chances of heart disease decrease. Being able to reduce inflammation provides many benefits for the body, especially helping lower lactic acid during exercise.

Lastly, building a stronger cell membrane aids the functioning ability of all cells, which provides ample benefits for the functioning of the whole body.
