Holiday Workouts

During the past few days my family and I have gone away to Coolangatta, near the Gold Coast, as a means of relaxation and enjoyment. I was tempted to skip my exercise training as the holiday was meant for relaxation, however, I decided to train in the hotel gym with minimal equipment, doubting that I would enjoy training whilst trying to relax. To my surprise, training became one of the highlights of my holiday. Sitting in the sauna after a hard pump up session actually became the most relaxing activities I did throughout my holiday. Here are few examples of training exercises I was able to do with the scarce  equipment provided:

Rows

This row exercise technique worked as a great warm up and cardiovascular exercise. This should generally take 5 – 10 minutes.

Machine flies

Machine flies work as a great chest and shoulder exercise, and should be done for about 10 -12 reps for as many sets as you prefer.

I encourage you to keep fit during your holidays away. Try out the hotels gyms, saunas, spa bathes and other facilities that few people use. This adds a sense of holiday adventure and pleasure, something that you have paid for anyway.

Finding joy in everything you do must become a priority. The Bible gives reference to this in Romans 15:13 where we should find our joy in the God.

 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
