When the going gets tough, the tough get going!

Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, James 1:2

We usually end our blog posts with a scripture verse, but today I think it fitting to start with this powerful, painful verse. It means that we should be glad when life becomes hard and dangerous, it’s your current hardships that are turning you into a powerful supernatural person, you’re becoming the strongest there is! This all depends though, do you move closer to God when times are tough, drawing out some of that infinite power that He has for you?

There was once a woman who suffered with blood problems for 12 years, she drew close to Jesus and touched his robe, power flowed through Jesus and the woman was healed.

When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, Mark 5:27.

I think of my own lot here in Australia which sometimes hurts. I’m living in a part of Australia that has never experienced the drought that it is suffering now. Just have a look at my once lush green grass

I understand that Australia is the most venomous place on earth, with the most venomous spider,

Funnel Web Spider

the Funnel Web Spider, and the most venomous snake, the Inland Taipan.

Inland Taipan

Why are they so potent? Maybe they have adapted to living in very harsh conditions, where food is hard to come by and they can’t afford to loose their only prey, their venom needs to be quick and deadly. So too, we become tougher and stronger (with Gods help) when faced with tough situations. He is the one who creates the adaptations needed to live in the harsh situations that you may be in this week, I pray that as you draw near unto God, that He draws near unto you.

So let’s never grumble about our lot in life because God is creating in us a stronger spirit.
