Finding a silent place with God

After finally having some time to relax from work God lead me to decide to spend more time with Him. Whilst I could have went to my regular prayer room, God challenged me to try something new, to set out on an adventure. I took my Bible and set out wherever God lead me. I eventually found a place in the wilderness, where I would pour out my heart to God and really concentrate on Him.

Here were a few places I passed where you could possibly stop and spend time with God.

Going to a place of solitude is in fact recommended, especially in the Bible. This is demonstrated by Jesus in Luke 5:15-16 and Luke 6:12

But the news about Him was spreading even farther, and large crowds were gathering to hear Him and to be healed of their sicknesses. But Jesus Himself would often slip away to the wilderness and pray.

– Luke 5:15-16

It was at this time that He went off to the mountain to pray, and He spent the whole night in prayer to God.

– Luke 6:12

Like Jesus, we must sometimes get away from the busyness of life and it’s worries and spend time with the almighty creator. The One who loves you and died for you.
