There have been two beautiful rainbows just above our house lately and God has compelled me to write something about the Rainbow. Do you know what a rainbow is? Science can explain exactly how a rainbow is formed, but science can’t explain why the rainbow is made. Did you know that the Bible says that God made the rainbow for Himself, not for us. “Reminder note to Myself.” God wrote in the sky, “I will never destroy the earth with water again.” Reminder repeat set at every day. Genesis 9
I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life.
Every time He sees a rainbow, which is every day somewhere in the world, God is reminded about his promise never to flood the earth again with water. But let this rainbow remind us too that the earth was once destroyed by God because of the wickedness of it’s inhabitants, and he has pledged to purge it properly next time with fire. 2 Peter 3.
The world will be destroyed
But just like God made a way for Noah and his family to be saved from this flooding, those who He has chosen will also be saved from the earth’s second destruction by fire. Just like the rainbow reminds God of his promise to humanity, Jesus’s death on the cross and his resurrection serves as a reminder to God and serves as a drawcard for human kind that God has again chosen for Himself a people, a family. His family this time will be saved from destruction if we are drawn to Jesus, and believe in Him. John 6:44
No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day
Isn’t it strange that Gay Pride uses a rainbow to draw people towards sexual immorality when it is actually a reminder to live a righteous life, especially avoiding sexual immorality, and sexual immorality isn’t only between the same sex, but is also; pornography, multiple sexual partners, fornication, etc. The very flag that humans wave in pride will one day condemn them. I am not being judgmental here, for the bible says not to judge the world because they already stand condemned. God can say one day: “The flag that you pridefully waved above your head was a warning to live a righteous life!”
For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. Romans1:20
Nobody is perfect though and never will be, that’s why we need a resurrected Hero that can save us, that’s Jesus.
They were even more astonished and said to Him, “Then who can be saved?” Looking at them, Jesus said, “With people it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God.”
Draw near to Him and He will draw near to you.
